The 72m vessel 'SD Salmoor' had reported an engine room fire around 1 mile South of the Plymouth Breakwater. The lifeboat launched to escort the vessel which was being towed by an MOD tug into Cawsand Bay. The fire had been extinguished by the crew on board by the time they had arrived in Cawsand Bay. Local fire crews later boarded the vessel to ensure the fire was out.
